REVIEW- Swimsuitsforall: Mommy & Me...a Bathing suit experience!

 

Hot weather, poolside & a nice cold drink in your hand, calls for a bathing suit!

I got the opportunity to work with Swimsuitsforall and not only am I blessed and grateful, I am excited because this is a SPECIAL review that includes my mommy!

I found Swimsuitsforall a few years ago and loved everything about them. I loved the swimsuits but most of all, I loved how they celebrated EVERY body type and promote positivity and self-love.

My mom and I come from two different generations. Our tastes are so different yet so the same.  Losing weight has been the same journey but different shoes too. This is a special posts because not only is it showing you two very different women, but two very different takes on swimsuits but with the same message: SELF-LOVE.

Being I had lost 100 plus pounds was so scary! I thought, "What did I get myself into? What if I don't feel comfortable? What if I look horrible?" And it came. I unwrapped the package and immediately tried it on. I OWNED it!

SPECIFICS OF THE BATHING SUIT:

    Full powernet tummy control lining smooths and flattens.

    Bandeau neckline with fringe detailing accentuates bust.

    Removable halter strap provides additional bust support and two style options: halter or bandeau.

    Empire waist breaks up torso and visually slims waist.

    Side shirred bodice breaks up torso and visually slims waist.

    High back gives additional bust support

    Soft molded cup bra with plush empire band gives bust support

    Sizes 18-34 fits up to a D/DD cup.

    Sizes 8-16 fits up to a C/D cup.

    Swimsuit fits true to size.

I think I rocked this bathing suit thunder thighs, cellulite and ALL! I loved my body in this bathing suit! It was sexy, fierce, fun, comfortable and lived up to its potential and more! I felt so amazing in this bathing suit. I felt beautiful! Its the perfect bathing suit to feel beautiful in no matter what size!

SPECIFICS OF THE BATHING SUIT:

    Powernet tummy control panel smooths and flattens waist. Panel starts just below the bust line and ends at the upper hip line.

    Tie front sweetheart neckline accentuates bust. Designed to resemble the top half of a heart, this tie front accented neckline, draws attention upward to accentuate the bust.

    Empire waist breaks up torso and visually slims waist.

    Soft molded cup bra with plush empire band gives bust support

    Sizes 8-16 fits up to a C/D cup.

    Sizes 18-34 fits up to a D/DD cup.

    Swimdress fits true to size.

    Swimsuit fits true to size but fits well for women with long torso as well.

TAKE IT OVER MA!

I picked this bathing suit not only because I was attracted to it, but as a mature woman, letting myself show so much skin was not an option. After having 3 beautiful children and a 80 pound weight loss, my body isn't what it used to be.  It flattered my figure and made me feel extremely comfortable. I am always worried about straps on bathing suits. Straps can hurt. Not these straps. It left me feeling really comfortable and when you are my age, comfortable is everything.

As you can see, I am more of a "You got it, flaunt it" type of gal and my momma, not so much! lol. I think we both looked fab though!

WOMAN TALK! Getting comfortable with U by Kotex Extra Maxi

There comes a week in a woman’s life that we all dread! Our PERIOD! What’s even worse is, we don’t have the right protection, our period can be miserable.  Being on our period she be made as comfortable as possible and we should feel like we are protected from accidents. NAILS OF THE WEEK: City Color Velvet Review

 

My madre bought this for me at Ross and I thought it was neat. I love me so cute funky nails, so I thought, lets give it a try!

 

It came with three polish colors and three matching velvets! Oh and a little brush! It gave you exact, easy directions to follow. 

I followed the directions, found it like any creative nail design, a tad messy. Though it was REALLY fun to do! 

It dried FAST and it felt like velvet!

 

The only "con: I had is , like velvet, your nails will get dirty fast! If you look closely you can see where my nails got dirty. So I think I would use this for an accent nail design. Other than that, its easy, cute and funky. I love funky when it comes to nails. lol

SATURDAYS WITH STEF: It feels REAL GOOD...

 

I'm having a great time dating. Its all brand new to me but it really opens me up to new AMAZING things in life. Being treated good is so foreign to me, that I almost feel embarrassed when I am on a date and I react like a sheltered bird.

My grandmas passing has changed me to see who do I keep and who I can walk away from. It taught me to let love in and live each day the best I can.

Its so odd being vulnerable. Knowing you're placing trust into someone else, hoping they don't break your heart. My heart is a fragile little bird, although its been shattered once ( & I am so positive that I wont EVER know that kind of heartbreak again) Its scary knowing that pain can affect me and my heart again.

Did I tell you going with the flow is scary as hell too?

Its HELL! LOL! Having a man PLAN things FOR ME! I guess my control freak in me comes out and I panic.

Anyways, moral of the story, being treated good feels good. Real good.
