Hi Stef,
I don't have any advice, I'm looking for a job, and I have to face rejection (a different kind of rejection, but still very hurtful) and I don't know either how to deal with it
It sucks !
But thanks for sharing because it's less painful when we can see that other struggle with the same insecurities

So... kudos from France

As far as rejection from guys, its their freakin loss. You are a 10 girl. And if a guy cant see that, then thats his problem. There are tons of guys that will love you for you! Even if you are rejected, which I hope you'll never be, just keep that in mind that there will be someone better. Someone you deserve. :]

I don't deal with dating rejection, I'm married. But friendships and acceptance from peers is still a scary thing to put myself out there for. Rejection to me is a blessing. I would rather be able to let go and move on because, for whatever reason, I'm just not the right fit with someone than hang on and wonder. There's a proverb that says "Better the blows of a friend than the kisses of an enemy" It basically means it's better for someone who cares about you to be honest with you, even if it hurts, than to have to deal with back stabbing, gossip and the behind the back ugliness that comes from those people who will use you for their own amusement. Knowing your value and believing that not every person you like or are attracted to has the same ideals and values you do, understanding that "not fitting" with someone doesn't mean there's something wrong with you but that you just don't fit, like a round peg in a square hole, you're just different people makes it easier to see rejection as a step on the ladder to the "right one". If you have to go through alot of frogs to get a prince, it's just one more frog out of the way :)

Stef! How are you going to judge what he wants just by looking at his Facebook friends? A lot of the times, Facebook friends aren't a reflection of who you REALLY hang around. Why not ask him? Rejection happens but guess what? Life moves on. Being rejected doesn't make you any less of a woman. Come on. Pull on those big girl panties and do the damn thing. I've been rejected by plenty of men and it has always turned out to be a blessing. And that goes for jobs and men. Handle it, woman!

Rejection is never good but you can't let it stop you. If you already try to do something with the "no" mentality then "no" will be it. If you like that guy give him a little hint and if you see that he doesn't respond, forget about it, more awesome men will come your way. I agree, don't judge him for what he has on FB, chances are he is just showing off or pretending to be something he's not. Don't feel inferior/insecure, nobody is perfect.
