REVIEW: Carmex

12:00 AM

Carmex recently sent me a few products to review! and I must say, I was a fan of them before, however I am even a bigger fan of them now that I tried a variety of products from them.

Ready to break it down? Oh did I tell you I'm giving you some facts along the way??

JARS

Carmex comes in two jars!

Original Carmex Jar:  which has an original lip-tinging formula that relieves symptoms of chapped lips and cold sores.

Cherry Carmex Jar:  Which is a moisturizing lip balm that gives you reliable protection with a bright cherry flavor and contains SPF 15 sunscreen (total bonus for summer!)

Both jars have been available since 1937 (the original has more than 1 billion jars sold!), both non-addictive and not tested on animals and are available in .25-ounce jars (the original is also available in .5-ounce size)
This jar has been available since 1937

TUBES

The Carmex tube comes in three flavors: Original, Strawberry, and Cherry.

Oringinal Carmex Tube: which has an original lip-tinging formula that relieves symptoms of chapped lips and cold sores.It also moisturizes your lips!

Flavored Carmex: Which is a moisturizing lip balm that gives you reliable protection with a bright cherry flavor and contains SPF 15 sunscreen

Both are available in .35-ounce tube and are non-addictive and not tested on animals.

STICKS

The Carmex sticks are available in original, strawberry and cherry. All three come in a .15-ounce stick, moisturize your lips, contain SPF 15 sunscreen and of course is non-addictive and not tested on animals.

VERDICT:

I LOVE these! Protected my lips and left them moisturized. The original does as it says with relieving the symptoms of chapped lips and cold sores (been using the original for YEARS) I really didn't know the jar came in other flavors!

But wait! There's OTHER products besides lip balm! I didn't even know this!

CARMEX SKIN CARE

Carmex Healing lotion and Carmex healing Cream are the first skin care products from the Carmex brand. Both lotion and cream have a patent-pending process and rich healing ingredients that heal, moisturize, and help repair dry, rough skin without leaving a greasy feel. Both Carmex skin care products are available at national chain drug and retail stores, including: Walmart, CVS, Meijer, Walgreens, Walgreens.com, and Drugstore.com

Lets break the two down shall we!?

Carmex Healing Lotion: Its a lotion that features aloe and vitamin E to moisturize, heal and protect your skin from dryness.Its formulated for a daily use and has a light pleasant scent.

* 13-ounce pump suggested retail price (SRP) $10.99

*5.5-ounce tube SRP: $5.99

*Trial-size 1-ounce tube SRP: $0.99

Carmex Healing Cream: This cream is a thicker, more concentrated formula that penetrates deep into your skin to help repair extremely dry, cracked skin. The cream features none concentrated healing and moisturizing ingredients and contains TWICE the amount of original Carmex Healing Actives as the lotion. This cream is particularly effective on hands, feet, elbows and knees.

* 4-ounce cream SRP: $5.99

*Travel-size 2-ounce tube SRP: $2.99

* Trial Size 75-ounce tube SRP: $0.99

VERDICT:

Both creams did as it said. I was and still am impressed. I have one tiny-little gripe, the lotions need a more pleasant smell. Lol It doesn't smell bad but it could have more of a fresher scent if that makes any sense. However the pros outweigh the con in this situation.

I use the original little pots, and they're hands down the best lip balms I've ever used (and believe me when I say I've tried every lip balm in the land). I get really chapped lips, and they work on them like magic!

I remember using this in college! I haven't used the product in years even though I really should. I've been using the Neutrogena product that looks like a glue stick lol!
