Nails of the week: New Year Nails

I decided to do Nails of the Week a tad early due to the fact it is New Years Day on Sunday.

Nails of the week: Cookie Monster Nails!

I actually saw this and I thought, "Lemme try!" So I decided to show you guys just how I did it!

STEP 1: THE COLORS I USED

 

3 OUT 4 OF THESE HAD NO NAMES...So I matched them as I best as I can. The black is "Ebony Hates Chris" By Wet N' Wild . The other three, I would suggest finding similar ones to the blue, white, and brown :)

NOTE: YOU WILL ALSO NEED A BOBBY PIN OR A THIN POINTY BRUSH!

STEP 2: BASE COLORS ONLY and ADD THE CHIPS

 

You can choose any nail to paint the cookie monster on. I chose ONE and it was on my thumb, so I used my blue to paint my thumb the color of Cookie Monster. The rest I painted the brownish/gold and with my bobby-pin end I made dots to make it look like Chocolate Chips.

STEP THREE: THE COOKIE MONSTER!

 

Once your choice of finger for The Cookie Monster dries, Use your bobby-pin to make TWO white dots. I let that dry while I used the thin brush to make the mouth of the Cookie Monster. I let my nails dry before I went to add the eyeballs. Once the nail was COMPLETELY DRY, I used the bobby-pin to make two smaller black dots within the white eyeballs. Some people do the black dots crazy and others do em even. I did mine a tad bit crazy...after all he is the cookie monster.

DONE!

Nails of the week!: Bling me out!!

 

I bought these at Sallys Beauty Supply a while ago for $2.49. They looked soo cool so I thought "What the heck!" They are made by "Bling" and is adhesive "Bling!"

 

I painted my nails black first (Horrible job I know!)

 

Once I applied the "Bling!" I cut off the excess. Unlike most nail design stickers out there, these do not file off! Which was a bummer!

WOAH-LA!

 

These actually stayed on during a shower and heavy usage! VERY impressed!
