Summer is ending and like many new moms, I wish I had taught my son to get the feel of floating around and moving his tiny feet around in a pool. The great thing though is I can do just that in the privacy of my own bathtub. Now you may be thinking, "What is this?" 

It's the SwimAva! Now before you panic and start saying, "But it goes around the babies neck? How can this be safe?" Let me assure you, IT IS SAFE and although Noah wasn't smiling, he wasn't crying either. In fact he was so calm as he floated in the bathtub. 

So what exactly is SwimAva?

Swimava is an unique infant swimming product that allows your baby to freely move around in the water while keeping their head safely above water. At Swimava, safety comes first. Swimava uses high quality hypo-allergenic PVC plastic. They are also lead, phthalate, and Bisphenol-A free.  Their float designs ensure a comfortable, yet secure fit around the baby's neck ( as for the neck floats) or chest (for the underarm floaties). All floats  feature separate air chambers each secured with tight fitting air locks. Swimava products have met and exceeded the safety standard from international labs such as SGS and Intertek. 

NOTE:  Please do not leave your children unattended in any body of water.

 So How did Noah and I like it?

Although you don't see a huge smile on his face and it wasn't in a large body of water like a pool. He actually was calm and just floated, occasionally moving his little arms and feet around. Let me tell you, Noah is teething and him just floating seemed to relax him. Yes, I panicked at first. I mean, come on, your sons neck being wrapped in a plastic floaty isnt ideal, but really it did not constrict his breathing AT ALL.

REVIEW: Smile Brilliant & GIVEAWAY!

Best Teeth Whitening  

Ever buy a teeth whitening kit from a drug store and realized it it didn't cover every inch of your teeth? Frustrating right? I don't know about you but that is my number one pet peeve when it comes to teeth whitening.

Never fear though! Smile Brilliant is here!

 

 

You're probably looking at this picture and wondering, "What is all this stuff? Smile Brilliant provides custom fitted trays to give you the best whitening teeth care as possible!

So what is all this stuff and how does Smile Brilliant exactly work? Well, let me show you!

When you first get your kit, you will have to make a mold of your teeth as I show you below.

 

Once you are done, your mold should look similar to mine.

You then send your molds back to the lab with the pre-paid packaging they give you and wait for a week or so for you trays to be returned.

Mine looked like this.   Once you get your trays back, the whitening process begins!

You first start with the whitening gel. Applying a thin layer of gel to the front of your trays.

Pop those babies in and wait for 45 minutes to 3 hours depending on your sensitivity and use once daily.

3 syringes (3ml ea = 9ml total) teeth whitening gel – Good for 9 to 12 whitening sessions

6 syringes (3ml ea = 18ml total) teeth whitening gel – Good for 18 to 24 whitening sessions 

9	syringes (3ml ea = 27ml total) teeth whitening gel – Good for 27 to 36 whitening sessions

 

Once you finished the first phase you you move on to the Desensitizing Gel phase for those sensitive teeth.

The same process as you did with the Whitening Gel is the same one you follow. Except this time, you leave this one on for 10-15 minutes. It's best you not eat or drink for up to 30 minutes after whitening your teeth. Also, the syringe uses are the same as the whitening syringes (see above)

So what are the end results.

REVIEW & GIVEAWAY: How to Organize your closet!

 

A fellow blogger of mine Janice Correa asked me to review her book. Which was awesome because like most girls, no matter what I do to organize my closet, I can never seem to get it right. Well, she made it so easy for me! 

 So you may be thinking, "what makes her the expert of closet organization?" A little background info on Janice is she launched her  blog at Mami’s Time Out  in 2008. It’s a fashion and beauty blogged aimed at moms. She has taken great pride in her organized closet and thought others can learn. I know I can!

The book was so cute and fun to read. Having lost weight, I know my closet needed to be "purged" In her book, she tells you just that. She talks about everything, from getting rid of clothes, to taking inventory and accessories! 

I found the book to be really helpful. I don't want to spoil it for you but my favorite chapter was, "Piles: donate or sell, keep, toss" Which I could relate to majorly! I am having the hardest time letting go of a few pieces of my clothing that I so loved as a plus-sized woman. I didn't even know where to start selling my clothes! Janice gave amazing samples of how to even start selling them!

I really loved this E-book and I think you will too! All girls love advice and more room in our closets...DUH!

Large Jewel Headband

 

This Large Jewel Headband reminded me of Gossip Girl and to be exact Blair! It was Manhattan meets L.A chic to me! I loved this headband because sometimes I wear one color dresses and this is the perfect accent to any outfit! The headband didn't even give me a headache or caused my head any pressure!

Mixed Pearl/Stone Fashion Bobby Slides and Snap Clips

I really loved these! These still reminded me of NY and Audrey Hepburn. It gave my bun that pretty effect and made me feel pretty & dainty! So pretty and didn't pull my hair when I took them off. Which is ALWAYS a PLUS!

Faux Suede Bow Bobby Pins

These were just so adorable and made me feel like a total girly-girl. They were PERFECT for my bun! It made my outfit look cute too. It didn't pull my hair or even get lost in my wild tame! Most bobby-pins get stuck, these didn't. So that was another HUGE plus!
