Weight Watcher's Weekly Weigh-In: No weigh-in & The Army has my bro again...

12:03 AM

Life has been HECTIC aside from the holidays and I did not get a chance to weigh in this week! Gahhh! My little bro went back to the Army...I captured this photo at the airport Monday night. We actually got passes to go beyond security check and take him to the gate. It was emotional and as much as we fight, it was sooooo hard to see him go...AGAIN.

Such a sad moment...BE SAFE BROTHER!

Now onto WEIGHT!

I have got a lot of emails in regards to Weight Watchers. I know some are curious about not being able to do it. Well, I thought so too. But I SWEAR I have not given up any of my favorite foods AT ALL. I still eat donuts, but I calculate how many points they are worth and if they fit into my points. Also I have a weekly allowance of 49 that ALLOWS me to enjoy life! This plan WORKS FOR ME...To each their own.

I see one or two people who come out of left field and try to up me with weight-loss that isn't on Weight Watchers...Like as if they are implying their way is so much better than weight watchers. Thats fine! I mean in all honesty, I'm a rose and they may be a sunflower. They can never be a rose and I can never be a sunflower, does that make sense? Weight-loss isn't about competing. Do I laugh when someone sounds RIDICULOUS telling me they can eat whatever their little heart desires and not gain weight? Or that the plan they have is SOO much better because they are thinner than me WITHOUT weight Watchers? Of course!!! Because I am on MY OWN health plan! No competing here! If you are competing , I suggest you look in the mirror with your own insecurities.

So remember...Weight-loss is NOT  a competition. Its YOUR health! And always pick a program that works BEST FOR YOU! It took me MANY health plans to find one that worked for me.

CHEERS TO BETTER HEALTH!

I think your weightloss is great, regardless of how you do it! You look great, you looked great before too from the pictures I have seen you post, but it's what makes you happy!

It's absolutely absurd for anyone to pick apart first of all if someone chooses to lose weight or not, and then how they choose to do it. No one way is better than another overall. Everyone has different triggers, so everyone is going to lose weight differently. For some people WW is perfect because their problem is portions which WW helps you to control. For other people sugar is their trigger and simply cutting it will result in weightloss. For some it's carbs. It's what works for you, like you said, it's not a competition as to who's method is better!

Congratulations on your success!

Love that pic of your bro and mom. I agree with you, it's definitely not a completion, but some people are just like that!

Congrats on your success. I did not start getting successful until I found my own plan and exercise regiment that works for me, and pretty much from that day I changed my life and the entire way I eat and do things. It is what works for me and may not work for every one else and when people figure that out they will be much better off. Its all about supporting each other in our own individual choices and journeys. My Prayers are with your family and brother. Love the blog.

Happy New Year
