WEIGHT WATCHERS WEEKLY WEIGH-IN: 1.4 pounds gained

12:00 AM

I gained this week. I knew it. I started to fall back into old habits. I drank soda, I ate candy and I ate when I became emotional. Wah-wah!

I think by going to weigh-in, KNOWING that I didn't follow my usually lifestyle, and "facing the music", taught me to OWN IT. I know what I did, and sure I enjoyed every minute it but it made me realize that I am still not at my goal. My weight goal meas EVERYTHING to me. Its something I can own and say I did this!

I started work, and ACTUAL hourly job and I realized packing my lunch is going to be essential! ESSENTIAL I tell ya! Next Monday is a pot luck too! Woah! I need to focus on my goal and really get to my goal.

Any tips for this newly working girl and packing a lunch?!

Owning my 1.4! Here's to a better week!

Weight Watcher Weekly Weigh-In: 1.4 POUNDS GAINED

12:00 AM

I gained.

So what.

I knew what I did. I ate after midnight. For some reason I had the munchies. I counted points, but ate after midnight and then fell asleep. A no-no.

I shrug this gain off. Its not like I gained all my weight back. And in fact, I only gained a pound in the 3 weeks I didn't weigh-in. GO ME!

I look at myself in the mirror and sure I wanna lose more and get down to my goal weight, but I think of how far I have come and not to cry over the gain. I am on a plan that lets me fall off and get back on without feeling guilty.

A weight loss isn't always a loss. I wish people didnt fret over a gain, but sadly until they realize that weight-loss isnt a quick fix or a temporary residence, they will always fret the gain.

I am on this FOR LIFE! So I have come to terms that I am not gonna have great weeks and I am gonna have AMAZING weeks.

Life happens and the last thing I wanna do is deprive myself.

So heres to another week of new points and new beginnings!

WEIGHT WATCHER WEEKELY WEIGH-IN: No weigh in....YIKES!

12:00 AM

So I haven't weighed in, in a few weeks!

Ive been tracking! Ive been doing everything but weighing in. And since I refuse to OFFICIALLY weigh-in at home, I haven't made it to a meeting.

Parts of it is because of the cost of gas.
Parts of it has to do with selling the house.
Parts of it has to do with my bro coming home
and well the rest....LIFE!

For sure next week you will get a weigh-in post with an actual weigh-in!

Owning up to everything is a HUGE part of the process. I will admit, these past two weeks I have been emotionally eating. Mini-churros from Jack in the box, Reese's, and something hit me the other day. I was out with a guy friend whom I thought was cool to chill with and we were talking and he, OUT OF LEFT FIELD, Came out of nowhere, that he is going on a date with a 45 year old woman who looks 25. In his words, "Her body is so tight it would put 25 year olds to shame" Mind you, He was hugging me. Grabbing on to my fat and all. Needless to say this past Sunday was a HUGE fight. In which my weight was brought up.

I have NO SHAME to say I lost weight from weight watchers. NO SHAME in saying I count points. IT WORKS FOR ME!

If you wanna lose weight, you find something that WORKS FOR YOU. Not what works for others! WW may not be for you. But I am living proof that I eat everything I want and still lose weight.

So I say this to you....

FIND SOMETHING THAT WORKS FOR YOU AND IS A HEALTHY WAY OF LOSING WEIGHT.

I also say knocking someones weight is NOT COOL!

Not at all!

I think if you have to make fun of someones weight, that is a reflection of you. Weight bullying is NOT THE BIZ! And it makes one look ugly!

So with that said, back to counting points I go!

And to get me a a slurpee! Its hot here in L.A!

Weight Watcher's Weekly Weigh-In: 1.4 POUNDS LOST!

12:04 AM

*Does the cabbage patch*

I am down 1.4 pounds and it feels GOOD!

I am 3 pounds shy of my MINI-GOAL for the weight-watcher year. My goal at the beginning of my reenlisted Weight Watchers lifestyle was to be at 185 at the end of my first year of reenlistment. This IS NOT my TOTAL goal. I make mini-goals. For instance, once I get to 185, my next mini goal will be 175. For me the smaller the goal, the more progress I will make to my big goal!

But I also wanna take the opportunity to tell you that not only is It PORTIONS that WW encourages, but EXERCISE! This is coming from a woman who NEVER liked to work out, a woman who worked at a gym for YEARS and never used the machines in which she got a FREE membership- ME! I love working out now. In fact, lets meet my best friend Elliptical:

What a beauty huh?

When I FIRST started using this machine, I only lasted a MINUTE! Yes, you read right, A MINUTE and I DIED!

Now, depending on the day I can do past an hour. The more exercise you do, the more ACTIVITY POINTS YOU GET! Lemme tell you, I love Activity points!! Therefore I don't dip into my EXTRA 49 and I can save my 49 for something special...Like a big fat ice cream from Cold Stone's lol.

So yes! A total of 33 pounds lost!

GO ME!!

Weight Watcher's Weekly Weigh-In: 2.8 POUNDS LOST!

12:00 AM

Ladies & Gentlemen I have lost 2.8 Pounds this week! Which brings me to a total loss of  32 pounds THUS far and I am still going. It hasn't been a cake walk. I sometimes HATE counting points. I hate having to choose the  11 point turkey burger over the big fat 35 point cheeseburger. Times I just felt so sad over gaining ounces. But as I grew to the program, I also grew. THIS IS A WAY OF LIFE... See this woman:

I will NEVER go back to being her! I really cant imagine my life without this Lifestyle. Even though this is my FOURTH time on Weight Watchers, the point is, THAT girl...I don't even know her. I remember being so sad back then. I remember eating whatever I wanted and not caring. I also remember not being able to walk long and every time someone at work (I worked at a Gym) suggested I work out, I said "I love my curves!" Yeah, GREAT way of not seeing I had a problem.

I DO NOT DEPRIVE MYSELF.

I have got some NEGATIVE Nancy's saying I must starve myself...I don't. In fact, I dipped into my "Allowance points" for some mini-pancakes(4 points) from Jack-In-The Box

But I get so many emails about the program and EACH email has THE SAME line, "I'm gonna STARVE" NO YOU ARE NOT! If a FOOD-ADDICT like ME, can do this, so can you!

And I love me some food!!

My mom and I do the program together. I really cant see myself in it with someone else. Its ALWAYS a plus to have a PIC to help with weight loss. My mom encourages me and vice-versa. POSITIVE SUPPORT IS A PLUS! And I have LOST friends. I got too small for them. I chose a turkey burger instead of a big fat burger and that wasn't cool to them. So I switched up my surrounds and my space. POSITIVITY ONLY! That is MY rule. If you ain't supporting me or bringing positivity...TO THE LEFT YOU GO!

I had a MINI-GOAL when I FIRST started this year to reach 185 by the 1st year completed of WW...I am 6 pounds away! I have until February 14th to reach that MINI-GOAL and then on to my next mini-goal!

CHEERS TO MY 32 POUNDS LOST!

Weight Watcher's Weekly Weigh-In: 1.2 POUNDS LOST! & Weight Watcher Barcode Scanner

12:05 AM

Yes Ladies and gentlemen, I lost 1.2 pounds.

This week was a toughy for me. It's THAT time of the month and I wanted to scarf down EVERYTHING! I did too. In fact the cheesecake won and so did the holiday pie from Mickey D's....Not once, but a few times. So this loss was a big surprise. But it made me even more dedicated to this year of Change. My One year anniversary for Curves and my weight watchers RE-Start date is coming up and my goal was to reach 185.  I am almost there as you can see. So I have a goal and I am gonna reach it!

Okay Weight Watchers got a NEW app. The Weight Watchers Scanner. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this app! If you have a smart phone and E-Tools, you can get this (WW members)

According to Weight Watcher's, "Scan barcodes on food packages and get accurate PointsPlus values for thousands of additional brand name foods. You can quickly compare products, send to your Tracker and add as a favorite"

I LOVE IT! It does just THAT! I think this has made my life easier in so many ways and is accurate to the T. So if you are a WW member and has E-Tools...A must!

Weight Watcher's Weekly Weigh-In: No weigh-in & The Army has my bro again...

12:03 AM

Life has been HECTIC aside from the holidays and I did not get a chance to weigh in this week! Gahhh! My little bro went back to the Army...I captured this photo at the airport Monday night. We actually got passes to go beyond security check and take him to the gate. It was emotional and as much as we fight, it was sooooo hard to see him go...AGAIN.

Such a sad moment...BE SAFE BROTHER!

Now onto WEIGHT!

I have got a lot of emails in regards to Weight Watchers. I know some are curious about not being able to do it. Well, I thought so too. But I SWEAR I have not given up any of my favorite foods AT ALL. I still eat donuts, but I calculate how many points they are worth and if they fit into my points. Also I have a weekly allowance of 49 that ALLOWS me to enjoy life! This plan WORKS FOR ME...To each their own.

I see one or two people who come out of left field and try to up me with weight-loss that isn't on Weight Watchers...Like as if they are implying their way is so much better than weight watchers. Thats fine! I mean in all honesty, I'm a rose and they may be a sunflower. They can never be a rose and I can never be a sunflower, does that make sense? Weight-loss isn't about competing. Do I laugh when someone sounds RIDICULOUS telling me they can eat whatever their little heart desires and not gain weight? Or that the plan they have is SOO much better because they are thinner than me WITHOUT weight Watchers? Of course!!! Because I am on MY OWN health plan! No competing here! If you are competing , I suggest you look in the mirror with your own insecurities.

So remember...Weight-loss is NOT  a competition. Its YOUR health! And always pick a program that works BEST FOR YOU! It took me MANY health plans to find one that worked for me.

CHEERS TO BETTER HEALTH!

Weight Watcher's Weekly Weigh-In: 0.8 OUNCES LOST!

12:01 AM

Despite me eating Tamales, I lost 8 ounces! Yes 8 and I am damn proud of those 8 ounces! Lets be honest, I could have GAINED 8 ounces, but I didn't. And well, frankly, I am damn proud!

So I am gonna be HONEST with my weight loss...and what I have learned. Losing weight is NOT  a competition. Personally, I can care less if you are on a different plan than mine...just DON'T knock my plan. I am on weight watchers...not some do-it-yourself fad diet. So many people confuse the two. Weight Watchers is not for people who CANT do losing weight themselves...Its a program to guide you on your weight loss journey in a positive, healthy matter...

I have come across people who are trying to lose weight themselves and I have noticed a lot of unhealthy traits in doing so...

A) They starve themselves.

B) They EAT anything and think it wont cause a gain then not eat so much....Yeah this does NOT cancel it out. You need to eat to lose weight...and when I say eat, it doesn't mean junk or once a day and then binging the next. Not healthy.

C) Deprive themselves...Never deprive themselves.

Weight-loss isn't about who does better and who looses weight the fastest, we all have different body types...ALL OF US!
I also get people who haven't read my blog or my facebook, wondering if I am starving myself. "Do you even eat?" Ummm YES!!! I love food! That's a moronic question!

Just remember...if you are gonna lose weight for the upcoming new year, keep it slow and steady. The faster it comes off, the more likely you are to gain it back twice as fast! Never deprive yourself of life and NEVER STARVE YOURSELF!!

Weight Watcher's Weekly Weigh-In: 3 POUNDS gained!

12:03 AM

I gained...SO WHAT!

I had so much fun eating with the bro that those 3 can EASILY be lost...PROMISE THAT! What scares me is that weight-in is Monday. THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS! Lord help me! And like a TYPICAL Mexican family, there's TAMALES! The masa is already here!!

TAMALES!!

I can NEVER say NO to tamales! They are a weakness! and I found out that ONE tamale is 16 points. SIXTEEN!

*Gasps!

How I am gonna make it through Christmas Eve and Christmas Day is BEYOND me! Its gonna take A LOT of will power to have only ONE tamale! I am trying to save my ANYTIME points to use it for TAMALES! Such a "Fat girl" move huh?

I am okay with gaining now. I laugh it off and say, "Damn that Big burger was AMAZING!" I am human too and I need to ENJOY my life.

Now the tamales are a WHOLE new issue...LMAO!

Weight Watcher's Weekly Weigh-In: I didnt weigh in....

12:06 AM

I didn't weigh in because I had problems getting to a meeting this week. So I was like what can I show you, to show how far I have come! Well there it is! I have made a collage of the 4 years! Look how far I have come!

I was so proud of myself.

Some of you ask me what I do to stay motivated. Well, I will tell you my secret to staying focused...A LITTLE BLACK DRESS!

After thinking about a goal I want to accomplish, besides having a family, I thought about it and I really was like, "Stefanie, you want to wear that cute tight black dress with some high stilettos! and have people go ' WOW' "

I have ALWAYS struggled with my weight...ALWAYS. Its always been the factor of why I am not accepted, why I was made fun of, why I was dated....And one day I finally decided to do something.

I look back at the little time line I made and I am so proud of myself.

Weight Watcher's Weekly Weigh-In: 2.2 POUNDS LOST!

12:01 AM

This is MONUMENTAL!

I HAVE OFFICIALLY LOST 30.4 POUNDS!

*GO ME!*

I was so happy when I weighed in this week! My mom has also lost her 40 pounds! It was amazing to see us both to lose. I do Weight Watchers with my mom. Its a remarkable journey and bond that we share. I really love the fact I have support AT HOME. I have a work out buddy and someone there to eat healthy with. It's not just me alone.

We were in the meeting and the biggest issue that came up was support...Which kinda went with the new program. A lot of us there support each other. Its like a little fam bam and we laughed at our stories of "over eating", bravo-ed one another with the TINY things we accomplished. It really made me feel so much support and many came up to me and my mom and told us they are inspired by us. When in reality, every meeting I am inspired by the women and men. To know I am not alone.

The program changed a bit....They gave us some cool goodies and LOTS of information.

I have the option of taking away 1,2,3 points of my Daily Points Target if I shall choose to. I ended up dropping my 30 points daily down to 29...so far, I have had NO hunger or problems. I just make up the extra point with activity points at the gym.

My weight loss journey has been full of struggle at times. A lot of people when starting a diet, constantly deprive themselves. And they use the word DIET....I never do ANY of that. This is my WAY OF LIFE. I will be on this program for as long as I live. I have found happiness in this lifestyle and I am finding MYSELF!

CHEERS!

To my 30.4 pound loss and to the future!

Weight Watcher's Weekly Weigh-In: 0.4 OUNCES LOST!

12:17 AM

Four ounces lost...I'm NOT MAD at all...I LOST instead of gained this Thanksgiving. SCORE!

Ounces always turn into pounds, that is why I am NOT sad. I have an an emotional week. I am talking EMOTIONAL. I normally would eat my feelings away, but because of the circumstances, I decided to "Stay on track"....It was the only thing going stable for me this week. My points. Yep that's how BAD things were. So I am PROUD of myself for losing those ounces.

I dunno if I have EVER showed you guys my BEFORE picture, but lemme show you again if you haven't seen it.

That's me! Before I started Weight Watchers in 2008....

I look at this picture and see a sad girl. However, I will be so honest with you. I had more confidence at this weight than I do now. I was talking to my friend Steph about a Comment I made in my VLOG, "Never date anyone prettier than you." And as we were talking I realized that reflects ME NOW....I think some guys are totally out of my league if they are HOT. As I was working out, I was like, "Stefanie! You are HOT! You can get any guy besides Johnny Depp" and I smiled. I'm thinner now. My curves show and are defined and I thought, "Why not me" I love conversations with Steph. They really give me "Look into yourself" view. Ya feel me.

So I retract that statement. If a Johnny Depp look-alike wants to date me, I will gladly date him!

4 ounces lost....

YAY ME!

Weight Watcher's Weekly Weigh-In: 0.2 Ounces Gained

12:17 AM

AHH 2 ounces...I have seen this before!

No biggie. I know it was because I ate oatmeal the night before...Okay 5 hours before  -Shrugs- My biggest task is THANKSGIVING! I am trying to devise a plan into not OVER eating but enjoying the food. In the meeting we talked about how to prevent a HUGE "I blew it this week" blunder. So with that said, I am thinking of something like this:

EAT THE FOODS I AM CRAZY ABOUT...In portions.

So what am I CRAZY about?
-Turkey and Mashed potatoes with gravy on it...
-Rolls
-and Pumpkin pie!

Yep! No joke!

Ill have a little bit of stuffing but I am DEAD serious about these items! In fact, I really do think I can count points when it comes to it, will I? MAYBE...I wanna enjoy my holiday with family.

Speaking of family...This is my FIRST Thanksgiving without my grandpa. For 26 years I have had my grandpa sitting at the end of the table. My heart still aches for I'm even though its been only 4 months. I think its a pain that doesn't go away...AT ALL.

So not to be a Debbie-downer...

What TURKEY DAY foods are you looking froward to for us Americans?

Weight Watcher's Weekly Weigh-In: 2.2 POUNDS LOST!

12:10 AM

Even though I was PMS'ing, I lost 2.2 pounds!

This was unexpected. I was eating a lot too, especially oatmeal. I also had a really bad head cold and I found myself even more hungrier. So you add PMS and a head cold and I was in food coma!

I am 2 pounds away from reaching a 30 pound loss! That is my MINI-GOAL, 2 pounds within the next two weeks. If it comes sooner then YAY! But I try to keep my goals VERY realistic here.

I get so many questions in regards to my weight-loss.

First off, I wanna say Weight watchers works the best for me. It allows me to eat all the foods I love, within my points range and in portions. Not only do I look amazing (Yes I am tooting my own horn) but I feel so much healthier and my confidence is way higher now.

I NEVER deprive myself of what I want to eat, however I do keep in mind the portion size and I count my points.
Its rough some days...but this is NOT a diet. This is MY WAY OF LIFE.

I have learned discipline. I have learned to not be so hard on myself and I have learned about healthy alternatives. Not to mention having my mom on the program and living with me, it really makes it a special journey. I also have a friend Steph who is on the program and when I have those bad days, I talk to her about it. We talk points and stuff.

Doing something is always easier with family and friends support.

2.2 pounds down this week!

YAY!

Weight Watcher's Weekly Weigh-In: 1 pound lost and my 25 pound mark!

12:10 AM

LOST 1 POUND AND RECEIVED MY 25.8 POUNDS LOST AWARD!

-YAY ME!-

So what did I get in place of my awesome weight-loss to 25 pounds...

A cute little "YOU DID IT!" key chain that hooks on to my 10% weight loss key chain.

I am SUPER proud of myself to be honest.

So what have a learned THUS far?

Well eating right has A LOT to do with it.

Then its MOVING! MOVING! MOVING!

It's also not being so hard on myself.

For instance: I love the Jack N' Box mini -pancakes....

I love Mickey D fries...I WILL NOT deprive myself of them and if I eat em and go over my points...
So be it!

So with that said, YAY ME!

Weight Watcher's Weekly Weigh-In: 7.4 POUNDS LOST!

12:01 AM

I LOST

7.4 POUNDS THIS WEEK!

*Does the cabbage patch*

What did I learn from this...Well , for starters, that with hard work, what I gained CAN come off as easily as I gained it. In the meeting fellow members and I were chatting about gaining. She said something that stuck with me:

WHEN YOU'RE GOOD, YOU'RE GOOD.
WHEN YOUR BAD, YOU KNOW BETTER.

Which ultimately means when something bad happens you learn from it. My gain did not cause tears. In fact, I enjoyed the foods I ate and they are now out of my system. But looking what I gained AND THEN SOME...Was a reminder of THE POWER OF THE MIND.

If I can achieve it, I can dream it.

They clapped for me and said "Wooooohoooo"

Like I said, the scale does not define me as a woman or as a person.

But inside, I felt as if I was WINNING while losing.

So yeah...YAY FOR ME!

Weekly Weigh-In: I didn't weigh in...for two weeks!

12:22 AM

So some of you may have wondered why I havent posted a weekly-weigh in.Well I havent dieted. Life got so stressful with my money issues, financial aid issues, I ate like a horse! Okay, maybe like a pig. However as bad as I feel about NOT sticking to my way of life, It felt good to get some things out of my system. Will I eat taquitos tomorrow? No, probably in a year or longer! I was so hard on myself.

"Stefanie what did you do!?!"

I had felt so bad! But Monday came and I switched my fram e of mind.

I ENJOYED MYSELF!

So I decided to shake it off and get back on the "Weight Watcher" train!

CHOO-CHOO!

Weekly Weigh-In: 0.2 Ounces LOST!

10:30 AM

I lost 2 ounces ---OUNCES IS BETTER THAN NOTHING!

I was PMSing last week and did go over my points, even my allowance points. -shrugs-
Mother nature wants wheat mother nature wants.

As long as I am losing I am cool. Whether it be ounces or pounds, losing is ALWAYS good.

BUT, yes there is a BUT if I gain, I know I can always start fresh.

I wish I had known back in the day what I know now...

In high school, I was a size 12 and to society and peers, that was FAT.

There was a girl who thought she was thinner than me but really wasn't, who once posted a picture of my Sadie's Hawkins date (who just so happened to be her crush and obsession) and mines picture all over the school with the word "Fat" written all over me. I also had a certain family member who I went to high school with call me "Fat"  behind my back.

I WAS BULLIED.

Even though the girl is HUGE now and lives  a pretty sad life and that family member ended up living a hard and bad life, I cant help but to feel sorry for them or anyone who finds the need to pick on someones weight. For they are sad people and picking on others makes them feel better.

I was NO beauty Queen in High School....but hell, I think I was beautiful!

Only if I had excepted my curves sooner in my life would I have spared me all the Self-hate I had for myself.

So, if you are a younger woman or a woman who is simply getting picked on because of their weight, I say this to you....:::

Weight doesn't define who you are! The scale does not determine if you are beautiful. YOU HAVE CURVES. You have meat on you....OWN IT!! People all over the world pay to look more voluptuous! Pay to have curves! Pay to have some meat on them!

OWN THAT MEAT ON YA!

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! SO WALK AROUND LIKE YOU GOT A CROWN ON YOUR HEAD ALL DAY, EVERY DAY! LOVE YOU AND THE WORLD WILL LOVE YOU BACK 10 FOLD!

Weekly Weigh-In: 2 Pounds Down

12:04 AM

*GO ME!*

So with that said I am 7 pounds from my mini-goal 190!

I CAN DO THIS!

I'm my meeting we talked about normalcy. Remember the post I made about wanting to be normal like my thin friends? How I just wanna not be able to count points? Well, with your feedback, and emails, I realized....THERE IS NO NORMAL! Thin people struggle with weight too. Thin people eat unhealthy
too. Now would I trade my curves in for being thin? Honestly, NO. I wish I was thinner...yes, but I think God blessed me with curves for a reason.

Sometimes we forget that everyone struggles with their weight, their looks.

NO ONE IS NORMAL...

Hell, even Eva Longoria gets put up with! The most beautiful people can have the biggest insecurities.I went home and thought about normalcy. I have NEVER known normalcy. Nothing about me is normal. I eat on all occasions and all moods! Happy, sad, mad, ....you name the mood, food cured it. My addiction is food.

Granted that has changed and I am thankful for Weight Watchers for teaching how to handle my food cravings when I do want food, sometimes I sit back and think...sure counting points isn't normal to society. HELL! Being over a size 12 isn't normal to society! Then again, neither is starving yourself. Grazing. Everyone struggles with weight, if not now, later.

I was teased in High School because I was a size 12. In fact I know a certainly family member who went behind my back and told people just how fat I was. It comes from all directions with me. For once, I am at a point where, I count my points and I do my thing, if you cant respect that and know this is my kind of normal then I suggest you get off my train and get on your own track. TOOT TOOT!

I know some days I have the "I am so fat " days...but all in all...I am getting healthy for me. Some day I plan to meet a wonderful man and get in this beautiful wedding dress and walk down the aisle and have everyone gasp because I look so amazingly beautiful. I plan to have kids and run around with them and teach them about portions and healthy alternatives. I wanna be HANDS ON with my future kids. If that makes any sense.

So yes...what is Normal to you?

Is there such a thing as normalcy when it comes to weight?

Lemme leave you with a quote I put on my Facebook last week, I said this after I found out the thin woman who was picking on my weight made these horrible about my weight.

Skinny doesn't mean beautiful. Fat doesn't mean ugly. Skinny doesn't mean healthy and Fat doesn't mean unhealthy. What matters is you love yourself for who you are no matter what your body shape is. When you love yourself, people love you...the world will love you back.
