Review: Jessica Simpson Black Platform Heels

 

Okay there is a STORY behind these.

The original price was $50...I didn't have money to spend on these but I had fallen in love with them at Marshall's. So every now and then Id go back and admire them and then for my birthday a friend got me a $25 gift card! YAY!! I could afford half!

So I went.

But I started to second guess the decision. $25 out of my pocket...since I don't get paid during summer I was hesitant. My mom said, "I'll buy em!" I fought with her about this, and she was amendment. Lemme pay the remaining half of these. So she went up there and there was NO price tag on the heels. The cashier was so lazy she only charged me $32! Then you minus the $25.

My mom only had to pay $7!!!

So I got these bad boys for $7!!

Just had to throw that out there before we proceeded. Thank you to everyone who wished me a speedy recovery, My eye still looks puffy and red but with meds and now the puss out, Ill be healing.

Lets talk about Self-Love and worth!

I had a friend on Facebook say that if a woman outs "I NEED a man"(Which I do this) , she needs to love herself and know her worth because that isnt self-love or worth. Now I didn't respond to this because I put that status, if the status was targeted to me or not, I didn't really care....subliminal Facebook statuses are cowardly ways to confront someone.

But here's the thing, I LOVE ME! Just because I post a status doesn't mean I don't know my worth...

DO YOU THINK IF A WOMAN POSTS "I need a man who_________" needs some self-love and worth?

I was boggled with another friend who agreed. Said some pretty harsh things. Again, I dunno of it was particularly about me but I just think "Hmm timing seems to be a coincidence"

I didn't respond because the truth is. I know my worth. I knew my worth since the moment I walked away from my addict abusive ex boyfriend. I have been loving me EVER since. It shows ion my physical appearance, in my words, in my thinking and in my soul. 

How does someone else determine another persons worth---- is what I'm thinking?

What gives them THAT right?

It doesn't give them ANY right to judge a woman by a facebook status and say she needs to love herself more instead.

See, I really can careless what others think of me and if that status was about me, I just think, Who in the hell has the right to judge my worth or out a damn price on my worth from a FACEBOOK STATUS!

I need a man who is gonna come home and lay in bed with me and bring along Reese's pieces! Hell I NEED a good man in my life to show me what I have been missing. AND WHAT! Lord knows I don't need another man hitting me, yelling at me, lying to me and cheating on me.

It just made me really see how people are so quick to put a price tag on others because of one simple Facebook status. One simple move.

Such a shame....No one should have been marked with a price until you have walked their shoes. No one should be told "You need self-love, not a man"...

I love me! And I will say that until I am blue in the face...

With that said, I think I am ready to date!

Eye Surgery :(

 

Ive always had this cyst in my lower eyelid, well during this Animal Instinct Shoot, I rubbed my eye and popped it. It got badly infected.

Green puss, swollen, itching, burning...I pretty much couldn't see. I went to LAC+USC Medical Center because I don't have insurance and they immediately took. Most of the time you have to wait 14 hours to be seen.

The optomology department had to cut the inside of my lower eyelid in order to drain all the puss. I saw needles and a knife! 

My eye was squirting out puss...So Ima skip today's post and have you check out my NEW CITY CHIC LOOK BOOK!

Favorite LOW POINTS Fast foods!

People think because you are on Weight Wacthers it means you cant eat out! NOT TRUE! So I made a list of my FAVORITE things to eat at a few of my FAVORITE fast food places! 

SUBWAY: Breakfast Egg & Cheese Muffin = 4 points

 

I fill this baby up with VEGGIES GALORE! I also subsitute the cheese for ham which still comes out to 4 points!

JACK IN THE BOX MINI PANCAKES = 4 pts!

 (Minus the syrup)

 

If you know me, which some dont, these are my latest obssession and they hit the spot! Honestly, I dont need syrup, them plain suit me just fine...

McDonald's Chocolate Dipped Ice Cream Cone= 7 pts

 

I have a MAJOR sweettooth! and honestly, if I have 7 points to spare and I want some chocolate and ice cream, guess where I am headed...Mickey D's! Foster Freeze has 14 point chocolate dipped, NO THANK YOU! I'll stick to 7 points. Plus if I dont, I use my actibity points or my extra, 

DENNY'S BREAKFAST!= Points vary...Mine is usually 14 for all that food!

 

I usually will go to Denny's for brunch. Huge breakfast for 14 points, Im there!

REVIEW: Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10

 

As you can see, I had ACNE GALORE. It hurt so bad too. In fact I went to work and felt so self-conscious about my face and to be honest my face is my best and most favorite feature on me! So when I took a picture and noticed the acne instead of my Oscar-winning smile, I cried! It had hurt so bad and to top it off looked HORRIBLE! So I went straight to Walmart and got a product that contained BENZOYL-PEROXIDE (10%) and whatever was cheap. WOAH-LA! Clean and Clear Persa-Gel 10! Now I had tried Benzoyl Peroxide prior to this and knew I was allergic. But I decided to dab my the pimples directly and not put it all over my face as directed. Here is my process: 

 

As you can see I dabbed the pimples, not my whole face, well, when I woke up the next day, after doing it twice (Instructions say 3 times a day by covering your whole infected area) I was A)Swollen B)Red and C) My skin burned and itched! YIKES! Here's a picture! Don't laugh!

 

Aye dios mio! Did I hurt and burn! Worse day of my life! The following day my pimples had went down and so did the allergic reaction

RATING:  3out 5 (The pain was unbearable to me)

DID IT WORK" Clearly it did!

SIDE EFFECTS: Depends on if you are allergic to Benzoyl peroxide or not! I was! Even though I dabbed the spots, I was allergic!

However, BEAUTY IS PAIN ....and my acne cleared up!

I CAN DO THIS!

I'm my meeting we talked about normalcy. Remember the post I made about wanting to be normal like my thin friends? How I just wanna not be able to count points? Well, with your feedback, and emails, I realized....THERE IS NO NORMAL! Thin people struggle with weight too. Thin people eat unhealthy

too. Now would I trade my curves in for being thin? Honestly, NO. I wish I was thinner...yes, but I think God blessed me with curves for a reason. 

Sometimes we forget that everyone struggles with their weight, their looks. 

NO ONE IS NORMAL...

Hell, even Eva Longoria gets put up with! The most beautiful people can have the biggest insecurities.I went home and thought about normalcy. I have NEVER known normalcy. Nothing about me is normal. I eat on all occasions and all moods! Happy, sad, mad, ....you name the mood, food cured it. My addiction is food. 

Granted that has changed and I am thankful for Weight Watchers for teaching how to handle my food cravings when I do want food, sometimes I sit back and think...sure counting points isn't normal to society. HELL! Being over a size 12 isn't normal to society! Then again, neither is starving yourself. Grazing. Everyone struggles with weight, if not now, later.

I was teased in High School because I was a size 12. In fact I know a certainly family member who went behind my back and told people just how fat I was. It comes from all directions with me. For once, I am at a point where, I count my points and I do my thing, if you cant respect that and know this is my kind of normal then I suggest you get off my train and get on your own track. TOOT TOOT!

I know some days I have the "I am so fat " days...but all in all...I am getting healthy for me. Some day I plan to meet a wonderful man and get in this beautiful wedding dress and walk down the aisle and have everyone gasp because I look so amazingly beautiful. I plan to have kids and run around with them and teach them about portions and healthy alternatives. I wanna be HANDS ON with my future kids. If that makes any sense. 

So yes...what is Normal to you?

Is there such a thing as normalcy when it comes to weight?

Lemme leave you with a quote I put on my Facebook last week, I said this after I found out the thin woman who was picking on my weight made these horrible about my weight.

Skinny doesn't mean beautiful. Fat doesn't mean ugly. Skinny doesn't mean healthy and Fat doesn't mean unhealthy. What matters is you love yourself for who you are no matter what your body shape is. When you love yourself, people love you...the world will love you back.

I spent nearly an hour just reading and reading about the latest trends. I know many of us curvier women have this need to want to be normal. Lets face it…NO ONE IS NORMAL! In fact, skinnier women tend to have the same fashion issues and body issues as us curvier women.However, they have more fashion options, or I think so...Thank God for Madisonplus.com
